A Hip, New Way to Do Produce!

So many people are on the “organics” band wagon.  Myself included.   With Paleo, Juicing, gluten-free, and vegetarian lifestyles on the rise, people are looking for companies that care about what we put in our bodies as much as we do. I happened upon the non-profit company Organics To You during a search for CSA’s last spring.  Of course they are organic, but unlike a CSA they source their fruits and veggies from many different local farms for more variety.  When necessary they may also procure produce from out of state.

With most CSA’s you pay for the whole season upfront and have to pick up your produce at the farm or a random location like a parking lot.  Since when was eating your veggies supposed to feel like you just bought a fake Rolex out of someone’s trunk?   The great thing about Organics To You is that they deliver to your front door at no extra charge!  I’ll say that one more time…  They deliver to your front door at no extra charge!   Let’s just let that sink in for a moment shall we?  The program is customizable so you can choose the size of your bin and if you want add-ons.   Can’t stand chard or brussels sprouts?  No problem!   Going on vacation?  EASY, just give them 2 days’ notice and they will cancel delivery for those dates.  They charge you as you go so no $400 price tag before you even get paw through a single stalk of celery.  My household is comprised of two adults and we tend to keep to a Paleo diet at home.  For us the “Small Bin” every other Thursday for $33 was perfect.  Sometimes we would do the “Latin” or “Italian” add-on for $14 as well.   They even have grass-fed meat and dairy options!  And guess what?  Organic fruits and veggies actually TASTE BETTER!  I thought I hated carrots until I tried the organic carrots in our Organics To You Bin.  Who knew!?!
They also tell you what to expect in the next weeks bin.
